The number showed it was from London, but the person answering had a strong Indian accent, and I could hear others speaking the same way in the background. They wanted my name, date of birth and all that. I decided to mess about a bit and gave them fake details just to keep them busy. The funniest thing was when I told them my phone plan cost was ridiculously low, way less than any provider charges, and they were still trying to pitch me a “better deal”.

I received a rather dubious call, purportedly from EE, about upgrading my phone. The conversation took a turn for the worse when the caller began hurling expletives at me, prompting me to hang up. I was insulted in the most unseemly manner. It seems to me this is nothing short of a scam; they lure you in with the promise of a shiny new mobile, only to subsequently send you the wrong model. What usually happens next is the phone gets sent back, leaving the scammers with a brand new device in their grasp while you’re left holding the bag - stuck with a contract that you still need to honour but with no phone in sight. Quite the underhanded trick, if you ask me!

warning everyone! i've had about 3 calls from numbers that looked like they were from london, claiming to be from my phone network! the person spoke with a strong indian accent and most of it was gibberish, but i caught the part about some “too good to be true” deal (i just let them go on lol). told them to never ring me again and they actually argued back which was bizarre. all those numbers are blocked now but i’m sure they’ll keep trying! someone really needs to put an end to this nonsense!
