Holiday company was a total scam, definitely watch out!

Some bloke claimed I'd had loft insulation done, which is absolute nonsense since I reside in a flat. He then just cut the call off!

Never really figured it out since I didn’t leave a message after it went to voicemail.

Got calls from them loads, always switch up the last few digits on the number. Also just got one from 688834. Straight to block!

This number, along with several others ending in 25, 29, 31, 32, 34, and 37 after 888, keep ringing me non stop. They never leave a message on my voicemail, so I just dont bother answering. Just this morning alone, I got about 5 calls from some of these numbers between 8 and 9 am. Proper annoying.

Got another call from an energy company trying to scam me, even though I'm on the TPS list. Absolutely ignoring the do not call requests!

Beware of those so-called energy consultants, total scam! They call pretending to help with your bills but just want to rip you off. Don’t fall for it.

Today I got another call from the same number. This time they actually spoke and claimed they were from some call blocking company. They said they were gonna block any annoying telemarketers and update my call blocking settings. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I got a call from some bloke called Alex, said he was with Green Energy but insisted he wasn’t selling me anything. Still, he kept going on and on trying to get me to challenge some claim. I had to raise my voice and tell him to “shut up” so I could explain that this number’s on the Telephone Privacy Service, and if his company was legit, they wouldn't be ringing me in the first place. After that, he just went silent, so I ended the call.

I dunno who they are, never got any voicemail from them, so I just blocked the number.

I got two calls today from someone pretending to be from a medical company, trying to get personal info from older people. When I rang the company myself, they told me it was definitely a scam. Just a heads up, don’t share any details with these callers!

Had a couple of calls today from someone asking for medical info, clearly going after older or vulnerable folks. Rang up the company they claimed to be from and they told me it was a scam. Watch out and don’t share any details with them!

I just ended up blocking the number.

I’ve labelled this as Unknown since any call starting with 020 always raises my suspicions. So, for once, I just hit the hang-up button on my landline to end it straight away. I’m thinking about blocking all 020 calls because I don’t reckon I know anyone from that part of the country. Hopefully, that’ll stop the endless ringing and give me some quiet!

Our phone is set up with BT's call blocking. It only rang a single time before BT decided to block it. I guess it was probably some cold caller or just another annoying nuisance. We've marked it down as Harassing.

As I answered the phone, I heard lots of background noise like an office busy with people, then out of nowhere, like someone flipped off a recording, a clear voice said, “Hi, I’m Alex, your local energy advisor.” Right after that, the call just ended.

Got a call from John at the driveway centre asking if I want a new one. Funny, since I'm signed up with TPS and shouldn't be getting calls like this. Anyway, I've blocked the number now. Best of luck with your sales spiel, John.

There was a mention of wills and the government, which struck me as rather dodgy. It felt uncomfortably like a pitch for some sort of service rather than a genuine discussion.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with the Medical Alert Centre, informing me that I qualified for an alarm system. Interestingly, I got a similar call from the same individual earlier the same day, though with two different digits at the end of the number. Quite curious, isn't it?

I've been getting a fair few calls from this number and others like it, all related to some "Local Energy Agent" nonsense! Honestly, I've counted at least five of these calls now. They just won’t take a hint and keep ringing me!

Claimed to be representative of a medical alert service. However, every time I inquired about how they obtained my contact details, they conveniently sidestepped the question.

I picked up the call, and they just hung up on me! Quite rude, if you ask me. (I hail from West Yorkshire, by the way.)

I received a call regarding windows and doors, and I can only surmise it's a scam after reading the mixed reviews about this number. It seems like the core number stays the same, with just the last couple of digits differing each time. This certainly gives off a call centre vibe! Exercise caution!

I've had numerous calls-around four or five-on my landline from a chap named 'Alex', who claims to be my "Local Energy Adviser." Despite my repeated assertions that these calls are unlawful due to my ex-directory status and registration with the Telephone Preference Service, he simply hangs up. It’s absolutely infuriating! This persistent nuisance is bombarding me with unsolicited calls, and frankly, something needs to be done to put a stop to it all.

Received a rather curious call from a chap named Chris, who claimed to be a local energy consultant. He inquired whether I was the registered owner of my property. When I responded that it all depended on which property he was referring to, he abruptly ended the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I received a call from someone asking whether I was aware of a government grant for loft insulation replacement. I ended the conversation before they could launch into their sales spiel. When I asked how they got my number, they rambled on about some supposed renovation or alterations. Completely transparent scam, as I haven’t had any work done in ages!
