This number, along with several others ending in 25, 29, 31, 32, 34, and 37 after 888, keep ringing me non stop. They never leave a message on my voicemail, so I just dont bother answering. Just this morning alone, I got about 5 calls from some of these numbers between 8 and 9 am. Proper annoying.

Today I got another call from the same number. This time they actually spoke and claimed they were from some call blocking company. They said they were gonna block any annoying telemarketers and update my call blocking settings. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I got a call from some bloke called Alex, said he was with Green Energy but insisted he wasn’t selling me anything. Still, he kept going on and on trying to get me to challenge some claim. I had to raise my voice and tell him to “shut up” so I could explain that this number’s on the Telephone Privacy Service, and if his company was legit, they wouldn't be ringing me in the first place. After that, he just went silent, so I ended the call.

I’ve labelled this as Unknown since any call starting with 020 always raises my suspicions. So, for once, I just hit the hang-up button on my landline to end it straight away. I’m thinking about blocking all 020 calls because I don’t reckon I know anyone from that part of the country. Hopefully, that’ll stop the endless ringing and give me some quiet!

Our phone is set up with BT's call blocking. It only rang a single time before BT decided to block it. I guess it was probably some cold caller or just another annoying nuisance. We've marked it down as Harassing.

As I answered the phone, I heard lots of background noise like an office busy with people, then out of nowhere, like someone flipped off a recording, a clear voice said, “Hi, I’m Alex, your local energy advisor.” Right after that, the call just ended.

I’ve had about 4 or 5 calls from someone called ‘Alex’ on my home phone, claiming to be my “Local Energy Adviser.” Each time I’ve told him he’s ringing me without permission since I’m ex-directory and on the Telephone Preference Service, but he just hangs up straight away. He’s really annoying and clearly making loads of illegal cold calls like this. Surely something needs to be done to stop him.
