This bloke with an Indian accent, sounds like he popped out of a time machine or summat. He kept ringing me a few years back, always asking for some Bruce Passmore. Didn’t waste any time, just blocked him straight off.

Sadly, the option to file scam reports directly via the police’s ‘Action Fraud’ website has been taken down - probably a cost-cutting move? Maybe raise that issue with your local MP. In the meantime, you can still send screenshots of scam texts by email to the cyber crime team at '[email protected]' besides forwarding details to 7726.

Got a call from a lady speaking with an Indian accent, she asked for me by name and then just ended the call abruptly.

As soon as i answered and asked who was calling the line just ended! Definitely a scam. I tried calling back cause this has happened before, and usually it shows some random number on the caller ID. But this time, the call said it was from some government research about saving money and asked me to press 2 to opt out or 5 to talk to someone. Haha, after pressing 2 it just repeated itself. Total scam, so i blocked the number straight away.

This bloke, who used to say his name was Ben but now goes by Patrick, rings up pretending to be some local energy consultant. Total scam! They record your chat without asking you first. You'll notice a faint beep right at the beginning of the call, that's how you know it's dodgy. I tried flagging him to the fraud team but they just ignored it. Proper frustrating.
