Got two calls from this number today. The first one was from someone with an Asian accent, the second was a bloke speaking with a very posh London accent. Both claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. I thought the first was legit and told him I wasn’t interested, but he just kept going on, so I ended up hanging up. The second call came a couple hours later. When I answered, he said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse. I asked him to repeat himself, and then he just hung up straight away. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from this number, someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse offering an upgrade. Since i do have a contract with them i didnt think much of it at first. They then emailed me an offer but said i had to pay a £50 deposit for the phone as a 'security' thing, which they promised to refund when the handset arrives. When i questioned this, the guy just kept repeating it was standard security and that £50 was nothing to Carphone Warehouse. Felt pretty dodgy to me. Not sure if its a scam but the whole deposit idea sounds daft. Also, they wouldn’t say how they got my number which seemed a bit fishy.
