If every person who receives these annoying calls and texts takes those steps, we could actually see some progress. The amount of scam messages and calls would definitely drop a lot, hopefully well before the next General Election. But for that to happen, everyone who gets these scam attempts needs to report them. Also, MPs need to hear from more than just one constituent on this issue, so Parliament starts paying attention.

I was presented with a rather tempting deal-50% off and a complimentary iPhone 13 Max if I chose to extend my contract for another year at the same rates. However, they requested my credit card details under the pretext of confirming my identity, claiming that this exclusive offer is only available to me and that it's the sole method to authenticate that they're conversing with the right customer. Quite an unusual approach, I must say!

Had a right old time with a con artist claiming to be from a dodgy car phone warehouse! Spent a good twenty minutes on the blower, he pulled a phoney postcode out of thin air and even called me Benjamin Button! All he wanted was my bank details to process some so-called payment. Gave him a random number chock-full of 69s! The call centre reeked of typical Indian vibes, and let me tell you, it was a laugh hearing him tell me to clear off! I couldn’t resist throwing in a few cheeky comments about the coronavirus wiping out his antics. Kept taking the mick and referring to him as a bloody muppet! All in all, it was a right giggle, but just a heads up to keep your wits about you!
