I got a call from 020 4520 5931 and when I tried ringing back, it just said the number’s no longer working. Pretty sure it’s one of those scam calls.

Then got told to speak to a “supervisor” who contradicted them and said they'd provide the bank details no problem. I ended up saying if they wanted their money back, to just post me a cheque since they had my address. In the end, they actually did send it. Just a heads up, watch out for this kinda thing.

This number called me at 8.03 in the morning claiming to be from some home care service. They said I was due a refund of £190 because they apparently took too much money. Then the person asked for my name and said they needed my IBAN, that’s the International Bank Account Number, to send me a cheque. Of course, the IBAN has everything about your bank account, including sort code and account number. Luckily, I told them to call back in 30 minutes. I used that time to check the number online and found out it’s a scam. Please be careful and don’t share your IBAN with strangers, it’s got all your banking details. Then I got put through to someone who spoke a bit clearer English and asked for my bank info. When I said to just put the refund back on the account they had, he dodged the question and insisted they needed my card details. I told him that wasn’t right, but he just kept saying it was and then abruptly ended the call. Honestly, it’s gotten to the point where I don’t bother being polite with these lot.
