Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian with all those background noises like a call centre. He said it wasn’t a sales pitch but then quickly tried to ask if I was eligible for some kind of energy saving deal. I just said no thanks and ended the call.

I just had a rather peculiar phone call from this number. The chap on the other end had a distinctly American twang and there was quite a bit of commotion in the background. To top it off, he greeted me with a "good afternoon" even though it was still morning here! Needless to say, I hung up rather quickly.

There’s 2 posts below that explain what you need to do if you're fed up with these scam calls. It’s not super easy, but I’ve done it myself and keep sending details of scam texts and calls to the police database (I’ve bookmarked the link for quick access). Sadly, it’s gonna need loads of folks making these reports before anything changes, but people do report thousands of scam calls here daily. My MP did respond, which was quite something, but honestly, it’ll take a lot more than one person raising these issues to get any real action.

I've received several missed calls from this dodgy number. I chose not to answer, hoping the caller would leave a message first, especially since it's an unknown telephoner.
