I just said, "Right, sure you are," and as soon as he twigged I wasn’t falling for it, he ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin, so I just pretended and gave them made-up name, email and address. They said I'd get 30% off my bill for a whole year! Got a call from someone saying they were my mobile network and trying to pitch me a new deal for £15 a month. Thing is, my actual provider always calls from a number that shows up properly on my phone, so I knew straight away this was a bit dodgy.
