I just said, "Right, sure you are," and as soon as he twigged I wasn’t falling for it, he ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin, so I just pretended and gave them made-up name, email and address. They said I'd get 30% off my bill for a whole year! I even lied about how much I actually pay. Then they asked for the last 4 digits of my bank account and also my Virgin password’s last 4 digits! Dunno what they’d do with those details though!!! 🤨

Thing is, my actual provider always calls from a number that shows up properly on my phone, so I knew straight away this was a bit dodgy. Then the bloke started asking me what I paid for my Apple device, which made no sense. I told him I was confused and didn’t get what he was on about, then he hung up. I rang up my network afterwards, and they told me they had nothing to do with the call.
