I got a call from an Asian guy who had my details and was trying to convince me about a phone upgrade deal. I told him straight up that he was a scammer and definitely not from my network. He just ignored me and kept going on with his spiel. I challenged him a second time and refused to let him continue, then he abruptly ended the call. His voice sounded familiar, and I’m pretty sure he was faking being from Carphone Warehouse, probably from London. When I looked up his number, it showed a location near Trafalgar Square. Definitely a scammer, watch out!

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Currys PC World regarding a promotional number. Naturally, I was a bit suspicious and enquired how I could verify if it was genuine or just a scam. The chap assured me that the number would appear online. So, I did a quick search and, lo and behold, found a completely different number listed. When I pointed this out to him, reading out both the number he called from and the one that surfaced online, he abruptly hung up and refused to take my calls after that. Quite dodgy behaviour, if you ask me!

Seems like I had a right dodgy call earlier! Blokes pretending to be from Curry's PC World, trying to sell me a phone upgrade at a bargain price. Definitely felt like a scam to me, those chaps were likely up to no good!

I received a call from someone purporting to be with Tesco Mobile or Carphone Warehouse, attempting to persuade me to subscribe to a new mobile plan.

Clearly a dodgy operation. They attempted to pitch me a more affordable plan through EE. I went along with it for a bit of fun, then they moved me over to some so-called 'billing department'. When I requested them to confirm their whereabouts and identity, they got all flustered and insisted they weren't obliged to prove anything. Then, just like that, they cut off the call.

Someone pretending to be from 02 kept ringing me more than 10 times. Every time I blocked a number, they just switched to a similar but different one, so it’s definitely a call centre. My phone even flagged the calls as possible spam. Eventually I picked up and a bloke named Alex was on the line, trying to get me to upgrade to the latest iPhone. I messed around with him for a bit before he just gave up and hung up.

Got a letter claiming they’re holding a parcel, looks legit at first but then it asks you to ring a number and cough up £17 by card to get something you never ordered or expected. The only thing on it is company ref Isl and it says it’s sent from instituto postal dominicano. Feels like a total scam to me.

Over the last few days I've been getting loads of calls from different 020 numbers, and this one was one of them.

Received a call from someone with a thick accent who kept rambling on about "phone... something or other". Couldn't quite make out what they were saying - sounded a bit garbled, to be honest.

I got a call from some overseas call centre, but I couldn’t make out what they were saying. When I asked them which company they were representing, they just hung up on me.

Clearly a call centre operating out of India. As per usual, they rattled off their lines so rapidly that I struggled to catch the name of the company. When I requested them to clarify their statements, they flatly refused to repeat anything. I inquired whether they were aware of the Telephone Preference Service rules, and they had the audacity to claim they were exempt since the call was supposedly for my "benefit." In the end, they simply disconnected.

I've been inundated with calls from this number, each time a chap with an Indian accent insists he's from Carphone Warehouse and an insurance firm. When I asked him to cease and desist, he completely flipped out, hurling accusations at me of being a scam artist and even insulted my imaginary sister! It was rather amusing, to be honest!

I received a call from someone with a strong foreign accent, purporting to be from O2. The lack of professionalism in their approach immediately raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of the call. I've since decided to block the number.
