I received a rather dodgy phone call from a chap purporting to represent Carphone Warehouse, touting some unbelievable deals on mobile phones. He was raving on about the latest handsets available, all at remarkably reduced prices. I’ll admit, I was tempted and nearly took the plunge on a new phone. However, my wife happened to stroll into the kitchen and decided to ring up the genuine Carphone Warehouse on her mobile to check out this fella's claims. They confirmed they hadn’t made any calls to me, so it was obvious this bloke was nothing but a scammer.
