This number, plus one almost the same, has rung me a couple times in the past day. They keep asking if I’m Mrs ---- (my late partner’s name). I just tell them no and put the phone down. I reckon they got my number from some mobile company we dealt with ages ago, since my late partner probably gave them my contact back in 2012. Goes to show how outdated their info must be.

I had to remind them that Carphone Warehouse has been defunct for over a year now and they'd never dealt with broadband services. At this, they completely lost their composure, spouting a stream of expletives and eventually making threats to "hack" my computer. Classic signs of a scammer cornered and floundering. I've gone ahead and reported their threats to the ICO.
