I received three rapid phone calls from a chap who introduced himself as Tom. He purports to be affiliated with a loft insulation company based in South London, claiming that I had some insulation work carried out recently. Strangely enough, every time I asked him to clarify who he was trying to reach, he would hang up without answering. What struck me as odd was that he didn’t seem to recall our previous conversation from literally just minutes earlier! It turns out this number has been flagged for various dubious activities in the past, so I suspect it’s just another attempt to mine personal info.

They ask you to do a survey and then schedule someone to come over, and 9 out of 10 times they’ll discover issues. After that, they push to get the repairs done, but they charge way more than it should cost. Definitely be careful with these calls!
