I've tried using Call Blocker on this number, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

So, I answered the phone while waiting for someone else to ring me back. The bloke on the other end said he was phoning everyone in my area code. He was going on about some government scheme for loft insulation or some rubbish like that. I told him our loft was already insulated and then just hung up. Pretty sure it was a total scam.

They claimed my current insulation is dangerous and then went on to explain the kind of insulation that’s used nowadays - which I already have. When I told them they were mistaken, the call suddenly ended. Definitely don't answer these calls, it’s a scam.

It all sounded convincing and was spot on for what I’m dealing with, but something felt a bit off. I tried searching online to check if it was legit but couldn’t find anything that matches.

Got a call from someone named Chris claiming to be from the Residential Green Standards Centre, supposedly based in SW London. Problem is, I don't live anywhere near there. Every time I asked for a website or some way to verify, he just kept repeating the same line and confirming it was right. After asking a few times, he just ended the call. This is the third time he's called me, voice sounds familiar but he switches up the name or place each time. Feels like a proper con to me.

I asked him what made him think he knew who I was - if he actually had my info he’d have mentioned my name and address, not just called me out the blue. Then he just cut the call off. I received a call from a chap claiming I was eligible for a medical alert pendant, but he awkwardly inquired if I was over the age of fifty. I promptly informed him that I wasn’t keen on the offer, and then I paused for a moment, expecting some sort of reply. When none came, I decided to end the call. Surely, if it were a genuine offer, they would have had the courtesy to know my name!
