Got a call claiming it was my bank warning me about money taken for Amazon. They wanted me to press 2, but I didn’t do it since my bank never rings me like that.

I had an encounter with a lady of Asian descent, who insisted they weren't pushing any sort of sales pitch, yet they inquired quite a bit about the insulation in my loft. Quite an interesting conversation, to say the least!

They said their agent was from our local area and asked if we wanted medical insurance, but I just ended the call straight away.

It’s such a relief that unknown numbers have to state who they are when calling, at least we get the number logged. These scammers are really risky, always using fake or very similar numbers to trick people. The cops really should catch every one of them.

They keep ringing me almost daily, sometimes even a couple of times each day. It’s always the same spiel: 'Hello, this is Alex from your local energy team'. I just cut the call straight away. The phone number is usually different, though the last digit tends to change quite a bit.

Hey, just got a call from someone named Alex claiming to be a medical alert agent nearby. They said I could get a free alert pendant if I'm above 50. Complete scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone called Alex at Estate Protect Group about shielding your estate equity from care home fees. He promised a legal advisor would call me back in about 20 minutes for a free consultation. When I mentioned I was busy at work and asked for his number, he just said "have a nice day" and hung up! Smells like a total scam to me.

I got a call in the middle of the afternoon and since the number didn’t look familiar on my caller ID, I just let it ring out. Of course, they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail or anything. Not exactly shocking.

Got a call this afternoon from someone claiming “it shows” we qualify for a medical alert device. Honestly, my husband does have a disability so it might be true. I asked the caller where they had got their info, and he said his manager sends him a list of numbers to ring daily! When I tried to find out where the manager got the details, the bloke just hung up. It’s quite concerning, especially since folks like my husband, who attends loads of medical appointments, might easily believe it’s legit.

I've had calls from this number a few times now, each with slightly different last two numbers, something like 020451627##. It's the 4th time they've phoned me. I've already flagged it with BT and registered a complaint with TPS. Proper annoying!!!

I got a call from 020 4516 2736 at around 2:46 pm on 25/01/2022. The person said he was Alex from some Medical Alert Centre and mentioned I might qualify for a medical alert device. He asked if I was over 50. When I questioned where he got my number from and what exactly he wanted, he just ended the call. Seems like a scam aimed at older folks. Definitely marked it as suspicious. Bit worrying, to be honest.

Got a call from someone checking if I was over 50 so they could set up some kind of alarm button for me! Then they went on asking if I had any trouble moving about, which I don't at all. I asked how they got my details and they said their boss just hands out a list of folks to ring up. Honestly, it felt pretty strange.

This afternoon I got a call from someone saying “it shows” we qualify for a medical alert system. Honestly, we might well do since my husband has a disability. But I asked where they’d got their details from. The bloke said his boss gives him a list of numbers to ring daily! When I pressed about where the boss sources the info, he just hung up. It’s really worrying, especially for more vulnerable folks - even my husband, who has loads of medical visits, could’ve been fooled by this.

I keep getting calls from these lot, they’re either pushing some dodgy driveway deal or trying to sell you a medical alert pendant. They always ring from the same numbers, I’ve even jotted them down. Definitely a fake outfit and honestly, it feels risky. Would be great if the authorities just shut these scammers down for good. This is the real issue that needs fixing, not wasting effort on silly parties during lockdown!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone named Alex, claiming that my house had outdated yellow insulation. I promptly corrected him, informing him that I reside in a brand-new build that's just two years old. Before I could elaborate, he abruptly ended the conversation. Quite odd, indeed!

Getting a daily call from this number, yet every time I pick up, it just goes to the answerphone and the caller hangs up. Quite irritating, to say the least!

I received a call not too long ago from someone claiming to be "Alex." He mentioned he was reaching out regarding those outdated fibreglass loft insulations in my locality. When I inquired further about where precisely "my locality" was, he promptly ended the conversation. It’s not the first time I’ve encountered such calls. They often begin with a seemingly reasonable premise but quickly spiral into inquiries about personal details like my full name or postcode. It's a tactic they employ to gather as much Personal Identifiable Information (PII) as possible, which could potentially be used for identity theft. Just a word of caution to everyone-stay vigilant!

Received a ring from 020 5416 2736 at 14:46 on the 25th of January, 2021. The caller introduced themselves as Alex from the Medical Alert Centre, inquiring if I was over the age of 50 and implying I could be eligible for a medical alert device. When I pressed him on how he acquired my phone number and the purpose of his call, he abruptly disconnected. This definitely feels like a scam aimed at vulnerable older individuals, which is rather alarming.
