3 yearsIt's quite vexing, isn't it? Just when you think you've put an end to their incessant calling by blocking a number, they simply ring you up from a different line. It's as if they have nothing better to do!3 yearsClaiming to be from O2, but since I don’t even have an account with them, it was obvious this was a dodgy call. I hung up promptly and made sure to block the number.3 yearsThey’re supposedly from O2, but unless they’ve relocated to Asia, that’s rather dubious. They didn’t seem to grasp the concept of 'buzz off' in any decent English!Asia3 yearsHere’s yet another caller purporting to be from O2. They send through a verification code to your mobile and request that you share it with them. This is a massive warning sign, as O2 explicitly advises against this practice, even sending a prior message to inform you not to disclose the code under any circumstance, not even to their own employees. If you divulge this code, you’re essentially handing over the keys to your account, which could enable these scammers to place orders for new phones, sign contracts, and leave you with the financial burden. Best to hang up and add that number to your block list!3 yearsI’ve just had a phone call from this number as well. They’re purporting to be O2, but there’s no way that’s the case. They also follow up with a text message, presumably to fish for your My O2 account details. I reckon their aim is to order a new phone, potentially changing the delivery address to their advantage. The message clearly instructs you to keep that 6-digit code to yourself, not even sharing it with O2 personnel. Best to be wary!3 yearsIt appears there's someone out there masquerading as O2 - you should steer clear of them! They're likely to attempt accessing your account by getting O2 to send you a text message containing a six-digit verification code. Whatever you do, do NOT share this code with them. They seem to have discovered a vulnerability within O2's system, allowing them to manipulate the process and prompt the code to be sent to your phone through O2's own security protocols.
