Had a bloke ring me up with what sounded like an Asian accent, telling me to download this thing called teamviewer from some website starting with [#]. He claimed to be from BT and Openreach, saying there was an issue with my router. Then he kept asking for passwords and codes that showed up on the teamviewer screen. He even said he'd cut off my broadband if I didn’t comply. Felt really dodgy.

Everyone knows about those “Microsoft” calls, right? So today I picked up and the guy (line was awful by the way) said his name was Mike. I told him to spell it out, then asked if he was just reading from a script - he got all flustered (had an African accent btw). Then I asked about his tech qualifications and he totally lost it, ended up calling me a stupid c#### before slamming the phone down! Ha! Honestly the best way to handle these scammers is just keep asking questions or get them to repeat themselves - blocked straight away!

This number rang me and a woman with a strong Chinese accent said she was from Microsoft. She claimed that my computer was sending security alerts to them and said I had to update my antivirus immediately. When I asked her which computer or email she was talking about, she couldn’t give me any clear answer, just kept saying ‘your PC has sent warnings to our main server’ and I needed to secure it. Then she asked for my address info, but I refused and ended the call.

A woman rang me saying she was from Windows Security and that my PC was supposedly trying to download harmful software. Right away I sensed it was a scam trying to get access to my machine. I asked her how they had details about my computer and what it was doing, since they’re not my internet supplier. She claimed my computer was somehow linked to them for windows security when I bought it. I just let her carry on with her nonsense, figured she’s paid for making calls like this, and said goodbye when she mentioned the ‘engineers’ who were meant to help me fix it.

It was supposedly the “Microsoft” tech support team. For anyone who isn’t good with computers, here’s a tip: no big tech firm like Microsoft, Apple or Amazon ever phones you out of nowhere. Plus, they don’t start off with your name, so don’t hand that over either. I normally just let them ramble so I can tie them up and stop them from scamming older folks who might not spot it. They’re really nasty people trying to trick you!

They said they were working with Microsoft. Told me my computer had a virus and warned me that my Windows licence would get blocked unless I allowed them to remotely check my PC.

Moron scammer using some kinda call stacker or multi-dialler, always hangs up as soon as you pick up.

Got a call from someone saying they were Microsoft and needed to get into my computer, but they had an Asian accent and a British name, which seemed a bit odd to me.

The scam carries on unabated, with these chaps insisting that there’s an issue with your computer in a bid to get unauthorised access. I’ve tried ringing them a few times. It was quite entertaining to lead one of them on a merry dance through a maze of technical jargon for around thirty minutes before finally spilling the beans that I was fully aware of the ruse. Poor fellow, you could practically hear the disappointment in his voice as his little scheme unravelled!

I found the caller to be rather rude when I mentioned that I no longer possessed the computer needed to check what he was on about. He had the audacity to accuse me of being dishonest! I swiftly informed him that he had absolutely no authority to pry into my personal devices, and I hung up on him.

This number rang me a couple of times today. It seemed a lot like one of those scam calls so I just blocked it straight away. After reading the other comments, I guess I was right to be cautious.

This number kept calling me over and over, claiming there was an issue with my Microsoft account. When I called them out and said it sounded like a scam, they just told me to be quiet and then abruptly ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was with Microsoft, said there was an issue they had to fix on my computer. I just played along, letting him ramble on for about ten minutes, pretending like I couldn’t grasp what he was saying. Eventually, I told him I don’t even use Windows and that he could shove it. Pro tip: drag those scammy calls out as long as you can - remember, they’re paying for the minutes, not you!

I recently had a rather dodgy encounter with a so-called support team claiming there was an issue with my Windows account. They insisted I log in so they could 'fix' the problem. It screamed SCAM! I urge you to steer clear of any such prompts, regardless of whether you've got Windows or not. It's far better to reach out to a trusted professional for any tech troubles. (For the record, I don't even use Windows!)

I can tell most of these numbers are dodgy scams so I usually just let them ring off. But this particular one keeps calling me nonstop for days! I’ve ended up blocking loads of 0203 numbers because they’re all automated scams. It’s really worrying how risky these calls are.

I've been getting silence when I pick up, so I blocked that number. Now I'm getting calls from almost the same number but ending with 01 instead of 04. It's like they’re just switching the last digits around. Quite annoying!

Beware of this dodgy individual trying to extract your financial information by claiming there are issues with your computer that only he can remedy! As it turns out, I'm an IT consultant who works closely with law enforcement and numerous banks across the UK. It's crucial that you don’t divulge any personal or sensitive information to this caller, who appears to be operating from either India or Pakistan, along with his accomplices. Trust me, engaging with them will only lead to a world of hassle. The caller's just another scammer fishing for your financial details under the guise of tech support!
