Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from EE, but she spoke so fast I couldn't catch a single thing. When I told her I didn’t understand, she just ended the call right away. I've blocked the number now. Seems like a total scam to me.

Got a call from some Indian lady claiming to be from Windows Tech Support. I wasn’t having any of it and told her straight up that she and her lot are just scammers from India, then told her to get lost in a not so polite way. Suddenly, the call just cut off! Needless to say, I blocked the number immediately.

I’m not based in London or anywhere in England for that matter. This sounds like a typical scammer from India using a phoney or masked number. The best thing you can do is report these calls to Action Fraud. That’s really the only way to put an end to this kind of thing.

I’ve been getting calls non-stop for weeks from 020 3972 3704, some place in London I think, always going on about Windows PCs. When I told the bloke that Windows is old news and Apple has its own security stuff, he suddenly switched gears and started trying to flirt! Saying my voice sounded lovely or something. Honestly, what a cheeky muppet!

Received a call claiming there was an issue with my PC. When I replied that I didn’t own one, they seemed rather taken aback. “You don’t have a laptop at home?” they questioned. I repeated my lack of ownership, and without another word, they abruptly disconnected. Time to report and block these nuisances!

This number just kept ringing me non stop, so I had no choice but to block it. After that, calls started coming from ones ending in 01 and 03 too. And this morning, they tried again at half past eight with a number ending in 04. Hoping I've finally managed to block all their variations now 🤞🤬

This number keeps ringing me several times a day. I always pick up and say my business name since it comes through on my mobile, but they just hang up straight away. What really annoys me is that sometimes after you block them, they'll ring back using a mobile number instead. Proper frustrating!

It's so annoying how these auto diallers keep ringing non stop. I really don't know how they even get hold of our phone numbers! Honestly, the UK should really step up and either make cold calling completely against the law or at least put much stricter rules on telemarketing calls and similar nonsense. Enough is enough!

Normally I just ignore calls from unknown numbers, but for some reason I picked up this time, probably distracted or something. The person on the other end didn’t say anything when I answered, so nothing serious. I checked this site afterwards, read some of the replies, and decided to block the number just in case.

Something really needs to be done about these pushy scam calls, it’s just plain rude. I can’t believe firms are getting hold of ordinary people’s numbers and personal info just to frighten them into coughing up cash with threats and high pressure tricks. We pay for our phone service, yet these dodgy scams keep going on and causing so much hassle to loads of people. Phone companies should really step up and take action to stop this nonsense straight away, whatever it takes. It’s horrible, and yep, they rang me too. I certainly don’t want to hear from them again!!!

If you get these dodgy scam calls, the best thing is to report them straight to the police via their Action Fraud site, especially the bit about phishing. The cops do handle these scams, but the real issue is that not enough people bother to report it. Blocking numbers is pretty pointless since the scammers just ring back from another one.

Received a call from my father, inquiring about his computer, only for him to tell me he doesn't even own one! Looks like this number is linked to 704 area code, so I'm dropping a warning here as well. If you get a call from this number telling you that your computer has a virus, watch out. They'll probably try to guide you into giving them remote access, and worst case, they could end up putting malware on your device before pitching some fix they want you to buy. Stay safe and don’t fall for it!

Have you thought about registering with the TPS? It’s quite a good move since legit firms really stick to it, as it’s a legal rule that they can’t ring numbers listed there. Still, a few companies ignore these regulations. Keep in mind, though, the TPS only covers sales and marketing calls from UK companies - it’s not meant for market research, calls you’ve consented to, or calls coming from overseas businesses.

Been getting in the ballpark of five calls today from numbers starting with .703 and .704. From what I’ve dealt with before, they pretend to be Windows Support, telling me there's some fault on my computer. Bit strange really, since there’s not a single Windows machine or laptop anywhere in my home! Just a heads-up - definitely don’t let them connect to your Windows device if you’ve got one. It’s a big con, aimed at stealing your info, maybe even passwords, and could install nasty viruses or spyware on your system.
