02039723701 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02039723701 👆 is reported as a highly persistent and widespread scam originating from multiple 0203 numbers, often claiming to be Microsoft or Windows support. Callers, frequently with Indian or foreign accents, falsely warn of computer viruses or security breaches, urging victims to grant remote access. Many report aggressive or abusive behaviour when questioned or refused. The calls often feature silence or automated messages when answered. Despite numerous blocks, the scammers persist by altering last digits. They target vulnerable individuals, seeking personal and financial information, but no legitimate tech support from Microsoft operates in this manner. Users strongly advise ignoring the calls, blocking numbers, and reporting attempts to authorities like Action Fraud. Vigilance is essential to avoid falling victim to these fraudulent and harassing practices.

Got loads of calls back to back from different 0203 numbers. Didn’t pick up any of them since everytime it’s just scams. You’d think these annoying scammers would catch on by now that people are clued up. It’s a shame they’re mostly based in India, seems like only Microsoft actually tries to take them down. I’d say report it to Microsoft, no point wasting time on the ICO or Action Fraud - they’re just useless.

Got a couple missed calls from 3701 and 3704, so I picked up today. Some bloke claimed he was ringing about my PC and Windows. As soon as I said I only use Apple stuff, he ended the call straight away 😂

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft security, saying my internet was hacked. They said my emails, pics and bank info might be stolen. Asked me how old my laptop was and mentioned Microsoft had sent me loads of emails warning about the hack. Said I didn’t need to go online, just keep my PC on and they’d fix it. When I said I was at work and couldn’t help right now, they just cut me off. Definite SCAM!

02039723701 rang me claiming to be from Windows, saying there’s an issue with my computer and they’re getting loads of alerts about some impending problem. I kept the caller talking for more than ten minutes, pretending not to know anything, just so they don’t waste anyone else’s time. Do they honestly believe we’re daft enough to think they can access my PC from across the world? If that was true, we’d be completely doomed as a country. Seriously, if you don’t pick up straight away, just hang up, block the number, and don’t bother giving them any attention. Total muppets!

Someone asked for me but used the wrong last name. I told them they had my first name right but not the surname, and asked who was calling. They said I wasn't allowed to ask that and then just hung up. Totally feels like a scam, best to avoid.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number earlier today. After checking the reviews on this website and seeing the warnings, I decided not to pick up and ended up blocking it. They rang twice, once from the main number and then from a .3704 extension, both within 30 minutes this morning. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

I picked up the call, and being well-versed in tech, I decided to engage them for a solid half-hour. It was quite amusing to hear their frustration grow as I asked all sorts of questions until they finally had enough and ended the call. They’re now blocked, at least until they decide to switch numbers once more.

This number really needs to be reported to 'action fraud' - they are obviously con artists up to no good. Just blocking them don’t actually do anything to get rid of these pests. Search for 'action fraud' and pick the 'police.uk' website, then head to the 'reporting' part (don’t pick the victim option if you didn’t lose any cash). The police rely on loads of reports to get a real handle on how bad these scams are spreading.

They've been ringing me like 5 times in just one day; also got calls from a number that ends with 04. I've blocked both, but they just keep coming back. Do they actually have to pay for all these calls? Is there any way to put an end to this?

0203 9723701 called me saying they was from Windows Support and that my computer was sending out emails. They tried to get me to log in so they could fix it. Of course I didn’t let them, seemed like a typical scam to take over my PC and “clean” it or whatever. No thanks!

This number’s called me about 6 times in the last couple days. They never say my name right and start rambling on about my computer. They just ignore whatever I try to explain and hang up if I ask to talk to a manager because I want my number removed from their list. I hardly ever pick up calls from numbers I don’t know or have saved. If it’s really urgent they’ll leave a message or get in touch some other way. Most of these random calls are just scams anyway, and honestly, there should be more done to stop them. I just block those numbers straight away.

Got a call just like that, said they were fixing my computer issues. The line was terrible and felt like it was being routed from outside the UK so it can't be tracked. Honestly, it's about time GCHQ got involved in sorting this out. BT techs ought to stop these dodgy calls instead of cashing in on them.

This scam has been going around forever! Seriously, if you have caller ID, just ignore the call. If you don’t, maybe consider getting one to save yourself the hassle?

This number rang me up claiming it was about my computer. I told them they were trying to hack me and to buzz off! Blocked it straight away, no messing about!

Got a call from 02039723701. At first, it was dead silence, then outta nowhere there was a beep and a robotic woman saying 'goodbye'. I’ve blocked it now. They also rang a different number I have yesterday and did the same thing, so I blocked that one too. Bet they’ll try from somewhere else next time.

They said they were with Microsoft but didn’t give me any proof. Told me there was a problem with my PC. I asked why I hadn’t received any alert before that, and when I said I knew a bit about tech, the guy got really rude and just ended the call.

Some bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft Windows tech support rang me up. When I told him I haven’t got a computer, he just ended the call. And the worst bit? He didn’t even know my correct name.

These dodgy callers have been on our phone nonstop for ages. The one time we picked up, it was some robot voice asking for a name we don't know to call back. We’ve blocked their number, but they still keep ringing daily.

What a classic Microsoft support con! I kept the chap on the line for a decent stretch... when he inquired what I was seeing on my screen, I cheekily replied, “Well, it says Dell...” He eventually hung up once he clued in that I was merely pointing out the logo on the bezel. He was adamant that the issue would sort itself out and that Windows would eventually launch. I, however, stood my ground, insisting it definitely wouldn't. I thought I’d give it another go, hoping he’d want me to power it up... but all I got was an automated response for 'free care solutions', claiming every single one of their agents was currently occupied. Such a tragic pity, considering I could've helped them out with their pesky Microsoft device troubles. With it being an 0203 number, I’m not too worried about racking up exorbitant calling fees... why not have a laugh with it? I reckon I’ll ring him again later and see if he fancies a pint!

Got called twice from the same number today, which is super irritating since I’m on the TPS list. Plus, yesterday I got a ring from a number that looked quite alike.

Proper pain in the neck scammer ringing me up nonstop, saying I owe money due to some dodgy stuff on my computer. Started from BT and now Virgin are involved. There's this foreign lady who’s super pushy and just won’t give up. Keeps calling over and over, even leaving voicemails now.

They claim to be from Microsoft and have been ringing me nearly every week for over a year now. I told them I don’t even own a computer anymore, but they still asked for my bank details about some purchase supposedly made online. The thing is, I never buy anything over the internet. Honestly feels really dodgy.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent telling me to switch on my computer so they could help fix problems. Complete scam, no doubt about it. When I asked if the call was being recorded, she couldn’t really get what I meant. After a bit of back and forth and a few strong words from me, she just ended the call. Now just waiting for the next dodgy number to add to my block list.

I always assumed Windows was some kind of window fitting firm, not computer related! When I told them I don’t own a computer, they just hung up on me. This number has called me non-stop, like 6 times today. I don’t get why the Police aren’t stepping in, the calls seem to come from Horseguards Parade. Surely they can track down the exact office behind it?

Some bloke rang saying he was from Microsoft. I faffed about on the phone for about 20 minutes, telling him my laptop hadn’t been turned on lately so must need some updates. In the background, I could hear other “tech support” people ringing numbers and getting shut down. This scam’s not exactly fresh - it’s been doing the rounds for at least two decades. Honestly, how do they reckon no one’s clever enough to spot it by now? I even asked the guy what the scam’s supposed to do and what he gains from it, and he just snapped at me for wasting his time...

Received a call supposedly from 'Microsoft' saying there was some criminal stuff happening with my laptop - yeah right! I told the woman on the other end that if there was any crime, it was actually happening with her phone call! Seriously, when will these con artists be caught and held responsible? Surely the number they call from can be tracked somehow?

Someone rang me saying they were from the Microsoft office in London. I asked them for their actual office address, and they said Victoria Street SW1. But from what I know, Microsoft's main London spot is actually in Paddington, so that made me suspicious. Then they just ended the call straight away. Pretty sure it was a scam and possibly something dodgy too.
