Some muppet rang up sayin I'd won the lottery. I havent won sod all in the 10 years I played, so this sounded daft to me. A while back the government said they’d put an end to these “cold calls” but guess what, they seem to have done nowt about it as usual!!

Said they were from the lottery and asked if I’d won anything lately! Surely if they were genuine they’d know that already! I’ve reported them to the National Lottery and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying it was Lottery UK, offering me 10 free shots at the draw this Saturday. She almost seemed annoyed when I said no. She told me she found my number on the "Ministry of Justice website and it's fully GDPR compliant". I asked her if she was certain about that because it sounded dodgy to me. She said she just needed my date of birth and address for gambling rules. I said no thanks and blocked the number.

Same as others, I got a call saying I had won 10 free lottery tickets for the weekend - clearly just another scam preying on vulnerable folks. Thankfully, I’m not so gullible. I looked at my call log and they’ve called me three times in a few days. Who even sells these ****** my phone number?

I got a call from a firm i think was called Home Ok or something? They tried to get me to sign up for a free trial with a security camera, a couple of motion sensors, a water leak detector, internet sensor and two door/window sensors. Dunno how they even got my number tho.

I just got a call from this number, and the person said my name. I asked who it was, and all they said was "not this again." When I asked what they were trying to sell, they just hung up.

Someone tried to give me 10 free lottery tickets, but I didn’t bother talking to them further. Totally a scam, no doubt about it!!

Got a call from someone called Lisa, who wanted to talk to my missus. Said she was ringing from Lotto[###] or something like that. I offered to take a message but she said no, she'd ring back later.

Got a call from a bloke who used my old maiden name from ages ago. Seemed alright and said I’d won ten free lottery lines (not holding my breath on those actually arriving!). Started to feel uneasy when he mentioned a deal for Jan to March that needed my payment info, so I said no, smelled like a scam. He rattled off loads of stats and odds, sounded proper convincing - I can see how folk might fall for it!

Just missed a call on my phone. From what I’ve seen on here (cheers everyone) it’s probably one of those pointless calls. I gave up on the lottery when they doubled the ticket cost and added ten more balls, making the chances of winning about one in forty-five million.

They told me I’d won 10 free lottery tickets and asked if I still lived at my old address. When I said I wasn’t too happy with the questions they were asking, they just said have a nice day and hung up.

I didn’t even get to hear any sales spiel from the bloke. I told him he was ringing a number on the TPS list, and he said they weren’t doing a great job of keeping it updated since the number wasn’t marked properly on the list he bought. I told him he’d better sort it out with the company that sold him the list. Just had a look myself, and yes, we’re definitely registered with the TPS.

The guy said his name was Michael Ward from the national lottery and tried to sell us a cheap deal through direct debit. He wanted us to confirm we were okay with it but we told him NO. We thought it sounded a bit dodgy and just ended the call.

This number rang me, but then it said the extension (###) was busy and their system couldn’t accept any more messages. It told me to press the £ key, so I just ended the call.

I got a call recently from someone saying they were from the National Lottery and that I’d won 10 free lottery lines they’d send me in the post. They also tried to sell me 3000 lines for a draw happening in October, saying it was only 5p each. It all sounded a bit fishy so I turned them down. The guy got pretty annoyed and when I told him it seemed like a scam, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number yesterday, they said I was gonna get 10 free lines on the national lottery. I asked what they were actually selling and the lady said nothing at all. When I asked how the company made any money, all she wanted was to confirm my name and address. The same number called me again today but hung up right away after 3 rings, so I blocked it.

National lottery scam for sure. No clue how they found out I’ve got an online account or even my name - I don’t bother with Twitter, Facebook or any of those rubbish. But here's what I do know, if you win anything with a lotto online account, Camelot actually emails you telling you to log in to your account. If you haven’t got any email like that, then just tell those scammers to jog on! They’re nothing but nasty con artists and really should be behind bars!
