Just like the other folks mentioned, these calls are all about scaring you into handing over your info. They try to convince you that you’re in hot water with HMRC for a big amount, like over £3,000, talking about lawyers and court cases. I played along for a bit, but if you get someone with a US accent calling herself “Officer Lucy Adler,” I’d tell her straight up that you’ve already sorted any debt from 2015 to 2019. They’re nothing but trouble.

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, but the weird thing was they spoke with an American accent. Also, I’m pretty sure HMRC wouldn’t have my mobile number anyway. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from this number and noticed it showed an Egyptian flag on my phone, which caught me off guard because I usually only call a mate in Egypt. But the area code wasn't Egyptian at all, it was actually a London code. Seems like they put the flag there just to trick folks.

Just got a call, sounded like one of those hmre scam things, so annoying!

Today, I got a call on the landline claiming to be from HMRC, some bloke named Dennis Gray. The message said I had to ring back right away or else there'd be trouble. When I called the number, it clearly wasn’t HMRC. I asked to speak to Dennis Gray, but was told he was tied up and the person on the line would explain everything instead. I then asked for Dennis Gray to call me back, but they just hung up. Definitely dodgy if you ask me.
