I missed the call and didn’t manage to answer it in time, but having perused the remarks left by others, I’m rather relieved I didn’t. Cheers for the heads-up!

I’ve gotten calls from the same scam, like, five times already, using three separate numbers. I’ve blocked all of them but weirdly they already had my name. Pretty creepy if you ask me.

They're definitely up to no good. They're not based in London and have nothing to do with O2. They started hurling abuse in Hindi, completely unaware that I actually understood what they were saying as an English speaker! They attempted to use my email to get into my O2 account, needing the verification code as well as answers to security questions. Trust me, this is absolutely not legitimate!

These guys aren’t 02, they’re definitely scammers. I understood the Hindi curses they threw at me, which seemed to catch them off guard. Just a heads up to be careful!

Absolutely not O2! They've really duped me out of my account, so heed my warning and stay clear of this ruse. They had specific information regarding my O2 account and claimed they'd confirm it with an OTP. Regrettably, I bit the bullet and now I'm suffering the consequences. PLEASE, DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS SCAM!

Got a call pretending to be from 02, but it felt dodgy. Definitely a scam trying to trick folks.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from O2, insisting that I had to click a link to unlock a fantastic offer. However, the moment I mentioned that I wasn't an O2 customer, they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Received a call not long ago, claiming they could slash my O2 contract by a whopping 40% on my mobile. They even had the cheek to rattle off the final three digits of my number! I let the lass ramble on for a bit until she popped the question about my thoughts on the offer. I chuckled and replied that it sounded brilliant, particularly since I’m not even an O2 customer! Ended the call and swiftly blocked the number!

This morning at precisely 9:07, I received a call purporting to be from O2. The caller suggested that I could avail myself of a 40% discount on my contract. They even followed up with a text that appeared to come from O2 UK. At first glance, it seemed legitimate; however, since I’m not an O2 customer, I felt rather wary. When I mentioned my lack of an O2 account, the chap-who had a noticeable Indian accent-became quite rude and abruptly hung up on me. Quite the dodgy encounter, I must say!

Got a call on my home phone from this number, no voicemail or anything. Used Call Guardian to sort it out. Think I'll just block it now.

I picked up but no one was talking!!

I just got a call from someone who said they were from O2, telling me I could get 40% off my bill because I’ve been a loyal customer. Then they asked for my OTP! I know you’re not meant to give that out to anyone, not even O2 reps. Be careful with these calls - they might be trying to hack your account.

I received a call supposedly from O2, offering some sort of discount on my bills, yet they couldn't provide any details regarding my account. The texts they sent appeared official, coming from "O2", but the wording and overall style were alarmingly reminiscent of the scams I've seen on Jim Browning's YouTube series and similar platforms. When I pressed them for authenticity and how they could assure me they weren't trying to con me, they responded with these easily fabricated texts. However, they utterly failed to furnish any verifiable information confirming they were genuinely from O2. After this, I firmly requested that they cease calling me and remove my number from their list. However, they continued to disregard my wishes, bleating on about potential prizes I could win. This seemed to irritate them when it became evident I wasn’t the least bit interested. I told them not to raise their voice which seemed to agitate them further. The representative then claimed all calls were recorded as if to suggest I was the one losing my temper (I definitely wasn’t). When I asked for their name and a reference number that would allow me to confirm their employment with O2, they could provide nothing of the sort. Eventually, they hung up when it dawned on them that they weren’t making any headway with me. I’ve taken to deliberately wasting their time as it means they have less opportunity to target vulnerable individuals who might fall prey to their schemes. I strongly encourage others to do the same; share no personal information, just occupy their time!
