Got calls from this number about an accident from years ago. I reckon insurance firms or price comparison sites must be sharing my info cause nobody else ever mentioned it! Every time I block one, a similar number pops up from the same lot. I’ve asked them loads of times to take me off their list. When I try calling back, it just says number not found. THEY’VE ALSO RANG FROM THESE NUMBERS: 02005171626, 02054077915, 02080995266, 02030209020, 02070293088, 02080731625.

I get calls on my phone from numbers like these pretty much every month. I always block them but then another number, just a little different, rings me. They say it’s about a car crash. If you try to ask questions like "which accident?" they just cut off. Bit annoying but you can spot them quite easy.

What a nuisance! Just got a call from some dodgy outfit purporting to help with accident claims. They claimed I was still on the TPS register, and before I could respond, they abruptly hung up. I've blocked the number, but I'm certain they'll just try again with a different one.

Just noticed a missed call and after checking the comments, looks like another scam going around. A few days back I got a message saying they had almost £3000 to send me for an accident claim. They seem to know way more than I do, which is worrying. I’m really concerned they might trick older people into giving away bank info and steal everything. These scammers seriously need to be shut down.

I received a call informing me that they were ready to assist me in securing compensation for an accident I was involved in, which wasn't my fault. However, when I probed them about the source of their information, they mumbled something about a dubious register. I requested the name of the reputable solicitors managing my case, and when I suggested that this sounded suspiciously like a cold call, they retorted with, “Fine, don’t bother with your compensation then,” before abruptly ending the call. Quite a commendable display of professionalism, wouldn’t you agree?

They called me asking if I’d been in a car crash, claiming they got my number from some RTA office. Complete rubbish. Had a right go at them. The call got handed from a woman to a bloke when I started questioning where they’d actually got my details from.

I'm so fed up with scam calls coming from 0203 London numbers. Now I just answer with a simple 'hello' and wait a bit for the automated voice to start with their 'we heard you had an accident' nonsense. Then I put the phone close and crank up the volume, blasting James O’Brien on LBC moaning away. That usually does the trick - nobody wants to be stuck listening to James O’Brain going on and on!

Got a call on my mobile showing +1 at the start, looks like they’re trying to trick you into thinking it’s from the States. Woman with an English accent said ‘according to our files you were involved in a crash that wasn’t your fault’. Total cheeky scam, just someone chasing accident claims.

I just received a dodgy call attempting to fish for information regarding a made-up accident. It's astonishing how these scammers operate without consequence! There really ought to be a system in place to track down and put an end to their antics. If they target someone who is already feeling vulnerable, it could cause entirely unnecessary stress and anxiety.
