Got a call from a woman with an Eastern European accent, spoke pretty good English, said there were issues with my computer. I told her I work in IT and called her out as a scammer, told her not to bother calling again. I’m sure they’ll try again though, and next time I won’t be so kind. Blocked the number, but I’m guessing they’ve got loads of other ones.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d been in a car crash. They said their firm was called AdviceMax from London EC2 and that they got my details from the ‘Road Traffic Agency’. I told them I don’t even own a car and haven’t had an accident. Then they asked if I’d been in any other kind of accident in the last three years. When I told them to take me off their call list, they just hung up on me.

Someone called saying i'd been in a car crash, so i asked them which car they meant. They asked me to confirm some info, but i told them if they had my details then they should know if i'd been in an accident. The caller then started swearing and just ended the call. Definitely a scam!

It was one of them automated voice calls, you know, one of them computer things, ringing me about some accident claim. This kinda thing is getting worse for sure if they’re relying on virtual callers to make these calls. The government really ought to tighten up the rules to ban these virtual sales calls, and maybe get phone companies to put a stop to these numbers before they annoy everyone. I’ve blocked the number now.
