I got a call from this number earlier, but I opted not to pick up since it was flagged as a "possible scam." After I blocked it, I was surprised to receive a voicemail almost right away. It was an automated recording from someone claiming to be Mary from HMRC, instructing me to ring back the same number or have my solicitor reach out, warning that I might "face legal action." Got a call on my cell the other day, claiming my National Insurance number was cancelled, just like others here mentioned. The way they spoke felt really pushy and stressful.
