I get calls almost every week from different numbers starting with '020 3896.' Lately, I’ve had a few from '020 3896 9808 / 9804 / 9790 / 9807,' but only since about 13th October. I've blocked each one as soon as they ring. There’s also a bunch of calls from '0330' numbers that never leave a voicemail, so I reckon they’re dodgy too.

They should do something about it because people are so tired of all the unwanted calls. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. I’ve just blocked this one too. Someone really ought to take action - surely BT or whichever provider supplies their number should be held responsible. Don’t give me the excuse they don’t have an address, they must have one for sending bills, so get real! People are sick and tired of these scammers. Just disconnect them and slap on a hefty fine.

Sounds like those are just scammy ambulance chasers. Never share your details with them. I just ended the call straight away. Usually, I try to be polite, but when people start telling lies over the phone, I don’t see the point.

someone phoned me last night claiming i’d been in a crash, but i said i don’t even drive. then she asked if maybe i was in an accident as a passenger. i said no, never had any accidents, but she kept saying i was due some compensation. i reckon she was gonna ask for my bank info next. do these scammers really think we’re that gullible? this kind of thing should be illegal. they’re absolute lowlifes.

got a call today saying i’d been in an accident and someone hit my car while it was parked and that it had some scratches. i never had anything like that happen before so i was a bit thrown off. happy to see im not the only one who got this kind of call. gonna watch out for it from now on.

Today I got a call from someone saying I’d been in a car accident in the last couple of years, which was a complete surprise to me. The lady’s English wasn’t great and when I asked her what car insurance was involved, she couldn’t tell me. She also had no clue where I lived. I thought if you’re making a claim, you’d know the answers to things like these, but she clearly didn’t. She even struggled to say my surname properly. If I was actually claiming for a car crash, I’d be using my own insurance, not someone else’s. On top of that, she was really rude and was shouting at me during the call, which I didn’t appreciate at all.

When I started asking for details like where the supposed crash happened and where I live, she just couldn’t give me any clear answers. On top of that, she was shouting down the phone which I found really annoying. Why would I even go through them if I’d had an accident?
