Got a call on my mobile this round, normally it’s on the landline. Some recorded American voice said it was HMRC warning me about an arrest warrant unless I spoke to their “solicitor”. ‪Got a call from 020 3896 5117, the bloke tried to scare me saying I was going to jail or something mad like that. I wasn't having it until I put him on speaker and my mate was listening in too, that's when he suddenly got all quiet. Turns out he was just some dodgy dude pretending to be a relative trying to scam me out of cash. I wasn't happy and kept calling him back to give him a hard time for trying to rip me off. Eventually, he blocked my number.

Got a call on my mobile from some automated American guy claiming to be from HMRC. Turns out, total scam. I rang the number back from my landline and ended up speaking to a man who said he was HMRC. When I was a bit sceptical and said "Is that so?", he just insisted it was. Asked him where he was calling from and he snapped at me saying it's none of my concern before hanging up! Tried calling again, and now this American voice said "the account isn’t valid" or something like that. Definitely dodgy.
