Got a call from some "Officer Jean Baker" with one of those robot American accents, ringing me from 0203-8965109. She was demanding I ring back straight away or else face legal trouble. Total rubbish. I did try returning the call but decided to use my house phone instead of my mobile. Guess what? The number was dead. Honestly, these scumbags are the worst - they really should be stopped before anyone else gets caught out by this nonsense.

Got a call from 02038965107 with some dodgy American accent claiming to be 'Officer Jean Baker from Inland Revenue'. They said if I don’t call back I’ll face legal trouble. This is the second time I’ve had a message like this. I’m going to report it to HMRC, but just a heads up to everyone else - don’t fall for it and ignore the call.

Got a call from someone named Jean Baker in an office, threatening legal action over some supposed unpaid taxes. Totally a scam. HMRC would never ring you up like that. Best to just ignore and delete these calls, and report them so others don’t fall for it.

I got a call from someone called Jean Baker, said she was from HMRC inland revenue and told me to ring back on 0203 6178256. They said it was urgent and if I didn’t get in touch they’d send their solicitors after me. The lady spoke with an American accent and it felt quite intimidating. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I just got a voicemail from someone calling themselves Officer Jean Baker at Inland Revenue, saying it’s urgent and I need to call back immediately. They mentioned solicitors are involved or something like that. I checked if this was a known scam but couldn’t find anything, which worries me because I bet some folks would freak out and just ring the number straight away. This kind of thing really should be banned!

Just like lots of others have said, this was a blatant con artist acting like they were calling from HMRC and saying I’d get legal trouble if I didn’t phone them back straight away. It’s sad that people get tricked by these sorts of scams. If we all ignored them, they wouldn’t be able to do this stuff.

Received a call on our fax number from 02038965103, but nothing was faxed through. I rang the number back, and the person said they were from HMRC. They even knew my name and asked if I had a solicitor because apparently, HMRC were planning to take me to court that very afternoon. They said this was just a heads-up. I told them I don’t have a solicitor and asked if they could send me any details in writing. Before I finished speaking, the caller just hung up. Pretty clear to me it was a scam, definitely not HMRC.
