Got a call from this posh lady, sounded like she was straight out of a drama, asking for me by name then launching into a song and dance about some appliance insurance. Couldn't stop chuckling at how fake her accent was, so I just let her carry on for a bit before telling her to jog on and that it was total nonsense. Absolutely hilarious voice, made the whole call worth it just for that. No shock this scam's been reported loads of times.

Got a call from someone saying they were with a drain company. They claimed I had already paid them before and just needed to check my bank details for the next payment. When I asked if they could send me some paperwork first, the caller said they couldn’t do that until I made the payment. Definitely stay clear of this number!

Absolutely a con. I refused to share any info with them. They kept pressing me for my sort code, and after some pushing, the woman finally said they 'weren't my bank but if they were...' Also came up with rubbish about not being able to send me anything until I gave them confirmation over the phone (does that even make sense?). Important tip - genuine companies will never demand details on a call and will prefer to contact you in writing.

Got a call from a polite woman who actually knew my name. She said something about a cover for my electrical device. Told her I always get calls like this and just ended the call!

Got a call from some posh lady from KG assist, sounded all fancy like she was trying to be all posh (bit like that character Hyacinth Bucket). She kept going on about some discounts on kitchen appliances starting 21st September. I told her I’m not the one who owns the house, my husband is, and she got all snappy and rude, saying in a really condescending way that I don’t handle the money stuff, he does. Then he just hung up on her. Proper unpleasant experience!

Got a call from some posh lady claiming to be from KG Assist, saying they could slash my kitchen appliance bills from £245 down to £114. I just let her jabber away since they were covering the call cost till she asked for my bank details. I flat out told her no, and once I mentioned there was no contract or agreement with them, she sounded surprised and went, “why didn’t you say so earlier?” Right after that, she ended the call. Complete scammer, what a con!

The number started with 0203, so I assumed it was one of those dodgy calls. But then I listened and it was just loud heavy breathing, like some creepy phone thing. Same as others have said. They claimed there was this £23 monthly drain plan which could “special” drop to £14 just this once. They already had my full name and address, which was creepy. When I asked what the policy actually covered, the line just went dead. Feels like a dodgy scam trying to get your banking info. Really wish there was some clever way to catch these fraudsters out.

So some bloke rings me up sayin their system spotted I’m paying £20 for a drain cover and could drop it to £16. When I asked who I was paying, he said British Gas, seriously?! Then he tries pushing me to share personal info. This ain’t the first time this number’s called me. Total scam, just block it!

Absolute scam artists. They said they were cutting water service prices, but had my late Dad’s info - like his name, phone number and address - and were fishing for bank info. My Dad passed away over three years ago, and I now use his number. When I called them out on the scam, they switched gears and started asking for my details instead. When I said I couldn’t remember which account we used, he guessed it might be the one the monthly payments come out of. I put the phone on speaker so my husband could listen in, and as soon as I did, he just hung up!

Today, on 6/3/19 around 11:05am, I got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Southern Drains and Water. He said he'd been given my info about my drain and sewer policy, told me I was paying £20 monthly and they were dropping it down to £14. He knew my name and address, then tried asking which bank my direct debit came from. I told him I don't have any policy like that, never have. He quickly apologised and hung up. Sounds like just another scammer to me, honestly.
