I got a ring from someone claiming they wanted to talk about insurance for my kitchen stuff. As soon as I questioned which appliances exactly, they just ended the call. They had my name, likely from the electoral register or maybe even the old phone directory. They come across as so nice and believable, but really they’re just scammers.

02038874726 called me claiming to be from SKY TV about some kind of breakdown cover. They asked for personal info and wanted payment over the phone. I just hung up straight away. They rang back a bit later but I didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. This number rang last week too when I missed the call. Definitely a scam, avoid it!

Oh no, Paula strikes again! She used the same old trick, so I asked her which appliances exactly were included in the coverage. She just cut me off and ended the call pretty suddenly.

I got a call from a woman who said she was Paula from Home Utilities Services. She mentioned something about lowering the insurance fees for our household gadgets. She actually knew my name and where I lived, which made it sound legit at first. But then she asked me for my bank details, which made me suspicious. I told her if they really had an existing policy, they should already have all that info on file. I wasn’t about to hand over my bank info to some random caller out of the blue.

An elderly woman in her eighties got a call on her home phone from the usual scripted scammers. They tried to con her by faking a story about some dodgy home appliance, hoping to trick her into giving up her savings. Proper low effort scam attempt.

I’m not sure what’s going on, but on the fourth time they called, I heard a bloke’s voice. As soon as I answered, it went completely dead for a bit then they just hung up. This has happened to me four times now.

This number, 02038874726, has rung me up loads of times, and I usually just try to keep them on the phone to use up their time. They don’t give up easily - been getting calls for months now. The longest chat I managed with them was about 47 minutes! It’s clearly a dodgy scam, seems proper believable but all theyr after is your bank info. Seriously, dont get caught out by their nonsense.

Got a call about some supposed reduction in my kitchen insurance cover. They asked for my bank details straight away. I told them if they already had my insurance before, they’d have my details, and I’m not sharing bank info on calls. Then, the woman just cut me off.

I got a call from someone called Paula, claiming to be from Home Utilities, saying they could lower my bills. She gave me a freephone number for any issues and promised a letter would come through to confirm everything. It sounded convincing at first, but then she asked me to give my bank info over the phone. I told her I wanted to see the letter before sharing anything. She kept insisting the letter would just confirm the changes and savings, but I stood firm that I wouldn’t give out bank details on a call. After that, she just cut the call.

Got a call from this number about some kitchen appliance warranty I supposedly had - I’ve never actually got that kind of insurance. A couple of weeks back, they rang me from the same number for something else scammy, but I wasn’t paying attention to the details. Either way, I gave them a quick brush-off both times.
