I received a call from someone claiming to be part of the 'Outbound Life Insurance Team' trying to discuss my life insurance policy. When I inquired about the company they were representing, all I got in response was the same name over and over - 'Outbound Life Insurance Team'. Curious, I pressed on about which company my policy was through, but they couldn't provide that information either. They insisted that they were registered with the FCA, so I requested their FCA registration number. Suddenly, they were unable to provide it and just kept repeating how they were FCA approved. After I persisted with my request for the registration number, they abruptly hung up. Clearly a dodgy operation!
