Got a call today from 0203 8830692. I was pretty sure it was a scam but listened anyway. A guy with a South African accent actually knew my name and where I lived. Claimed he was from an energy firm and could help me save cash. Asked if I have a card or pay by direct debit. I didn’t give any details. He said because my bills are paid up to date, they could offer me a better deal. Felt like a phishing attempt. I asked him how he knew about my payments and then he just ended the call.

Dodgy call from a woman with a funny accent saying she was from E-ON about my unpaid bills. Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from Consumer Watch. I didn’t buy it but played along. She was asking loads about my energy supplier and had my postcode. When she asked who I was with, I gave her a bunch of made-up answers and said I was fine with my current energy provider. Then I said I wasn’t at home so she promised to ring back. I’ve blocked her number now.

Got a call from an Asian woman, she said it was a survey and asked loads of questions, but honestly I couldn't catch half of it. Honestly, there should be some law that puts survey calls in the same category as those pushy sales calls, life insurance or windows or whatever - they’re all just a pain, not just for me but everyone else. I only save numbers from people I actually want to chat with. Wish there was an option to mark a number as annoying as well.
