5 yearsSome bloke from Ireland rang me up saying he was with Smartcare Solutions, offering a 5 year warranty for my washing machine. Kinda knew stuff about me, but kept contradicting himself - said they don’t send financial info by email, yet claimed I should have paperwork already. Seemed dodgy to me. Proper pushy too, and when I hung up, he actually called me back. Not buying it.SmartCare Solutions5 yearsMy mum, who’s 88 and has dementia, got a call from a woman claiming she owed £200 for her TV insurance. It really upset her. My mum gave the caller my number. When I questioned the caller, she was really rude and threatening. This is the second time they’ve phoned since I cancelled my mum’s old debit card. They’ve already managed to scam her out of £600 before. I’ve reported everything to both the bank and Action Fraud now.Action Fraud5 yearsi called them out for having the wrong bank info and they just lost it, started cussing at me and then they hung up on me.5 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be representing a company linked with my Sky box. They said I owed £90 for a 5 year service contract and threatened to take me to court unless I paid up. They were really pushy and quite intimidating, using a tough approach to try and scare me into paying.Sky5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming they were from a smart company dealing with my sky box. They said I owed £90 for a contract that’s supposedly lasted 5 years. They even sent me a letter threatening court action - felt really aggressive and pushy, like a hard sell tactic.Sky5 yearsGot a call from a woman about an insurance bill for a fridge freezer. She already had my full name and where I live. She spoke really pushy and sounded quite rude. When I asked her some questions, she just got even more aggressive and acted like I was stupid. I’d seriously advise everyone to block this number - it’s definitely a scam and not somewhere you wanna get involved with.5 yearsi got a call from a woman who used the wrong christian name but somehow knew my dob. when i told her i wasn’t following what she meant, she snapped back “oh, you do understand” and kept asking for a last payment. she was really quite rude, so i ended up hanging up and blocking her number straight away.5 yearsgot a call from this number and the bloke on the other end had a strong irish accent. he was asking for someone with the surname 'mr', then when i asked for the first name he wanted, he just ended the call. weird.5 yearsThese lot say they’re some kind of insurance company for appliances and say i owe them more than £300 for a washing machine that’s been dead for over a decade. Then yesterday, they suddenly switched it up and said it was about a fridge freezer i’ve never even had! Honestly, sounds like a proper scam and they're having a laugh. Plus, if you ring them back, all you get is a dead line. Avoid these jokers.Submit Your Own Report (020 3883 0677)
