I keep getting calls from this number today, a guy with an Asian accent was asking for me by my name! Then he wanted me to just answer a couple of questions. First, he asked for my name and later for my home address. I didn’t provide either, so they ended the call. I blocked the number but they just tweak the final digit and ring again. Now I just let the answering machine handle it.

He asked for my bank card info to ‘confirm’ my identity so he could set up my telephone preference service. Obviously, I wasn’t going to give that out. At 13:47, my wife got a call from this number but there was nothing on the other end, just silence. I’ve reported that to Ofcom. Later on, at 18:02, the same number rang again and this time it was a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from my phone company. He said he was going to block all unwanted calls for me. While he did know some of my details, he then tried to get my credit card expiry date, which I refused to give over the phone and ended the call. I've reported this incident to Ofcom as well.
