So this con artist calling herself 'Amber' rang me up from 012766041432. After I told her off and slammed the phone down, she must’ve wanted to argue or something. When I called the number back, some old bloke picked up and said he was expecting a call from the hospital. Seems like these wankers have nicked his number for their scams. It’s disgusting how they couldn’t give a toss about the poor sods they’re trying to rip off. Honestly, they deserve a special kind of hell for what they do!

There’s this business targeting elderly folks who are often quite vulnerable. They get talked into paying nearly £22 each month for a ‘call blocking’ service that’s completely pointless. If you’ve got an older family member and see a company named guaranteed telecom taking money from their bank, you better look into it properly. Don’t just ignore it.

Caution is advised! My elderly mother, who's 90, was duped into signing up for a rather pointless 'call blocking service' at a cost of £21.99 each month via direct debit. The transactions appeared under the name 'Guaranteed Telecom', which is also the number that contacted her. It's a real shame these scams are still going strong!

Received a couple of calls yesterday from someone claiming to be from the BT helpline, supposedly to assist with ceasing nuisance calls. Oddly enough, he didn’t request any banking information, insisting he already possessed it, which struck me as peculiar. When I pointed out that he was the actual nuisance caller, he became quite irate, raising his voice significantly, prompting me to end the call. Just five minutes later, he rang again, insisting I jot down his number to report any troublesome calls-quite mad, really! After hanging up once more, I’ve decided to block this number entirely.

Got a call from someone with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent who already had my name and address. They pressed me hard to confirm if my payment was made by direct debit. I wasn't sure, told him I'd check and call back. He said he'd wait on the line, so I said it might take a while, a few hours probably. The person kept pushing and shifted tactics, so I ended up hanging up. Strangely, the phone rang twice more after that, and both times I just ignored it until the answering machine kicked in - then the line went dead straight away. Felt pretty harassing, maybe even a bit risky.
