ABSOLUTE SCAM! I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she worked for BT's call blocking team and that I was getting an upgrade. She mentioned my bill is paid by direct debit and even rattled off my postcode and house number - all stuff anyone can find online really. She kept stressing I was the owner of the landline (not the phone itself, as if that makes a difference). I told her she seemed to have too much info about me already. Then she asked me to grab my debit card. I immediately said no, as I never share financial details over the phone, especially with strangers.
