Got a call from some fraudsters claiming to be from Openreach offering a free broadband upgrade. My elderly mum, who’s 80, got fooled by them. I’m not clear on what info she ended up handing over, but they managed to cancel her BT Broadband and started moving her to a different provider (no clue who it is). I’m guessing these scammers planned to rake in some charges. Now I’ve got to ring BT to try and block this silly unwanted transfer.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian or Pakistani accent. He asked for me two times but when I said who was calling and asked again, he just cut the call. Proper weird!
