So, yesterday morning at like 9.38, I got a call from this number ‭020 3872 3097‬ and the bloke on the other end was being really aggressive. He claimed I owed £4999 and threatened jail if I didn’t pay up. Then he went on about having to hand over £18000 or else they’d seize my passport, bank account, and all my belongings. The guy sounded like he was from India or Pakistan and was just downright rude. Honestly, it’s disgusting how these scammers behave. They really should find honest work instead of harassing people like this.

Got a call from HMRC scammers the other day. It was some American robot voice warning me to contact my solicitor and ring them back, or else I’d get into legal trouble. Proper dodgy, not falling for it!

I got a call from someone pretending to be HRMC, speaking Urdu, probably from Pakistan. They were really rude and aggressive when I didn’t want to hand over my details. Just so you know, they aren't legit and you’re definitely not under any kind of investigation like they claim.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be an Officer from HMRC, said they had an English name. They asked for my personal info, but I know HMRC wouldn’t ever call like that. Total scam, avoid it!

Got a call super early, like 8.27 on a Saturday, obviously dodgy. It was some robot voice pretending to be someone from HMRC, saying I needed a solicitor to ring back by some deadline that they never actually said, or else there’d be legal trouble. Definitely don’t bother ringing them back, it’s a scam.

Got a voicemail on my office phone this morning at 8am with the same kind of threat mentioned above! It's definitely a SCAM and these scammers should be taken to court. Do NOT reply to them. I've already informed the police about it. Nobody should be made to feel scared like this, and HMRC would never send a message like that.
