I ended up coughing up £451 in fees, but since then I've heard nothing back and the loan has gone missing completely.MarkSam10 yearsI decided to get a loan for £1500 with a repayment period of 18 months. They said I was approved but needed to put down an initial security payment of £97, so I went ahead and paid it. After that, they asked for another £340 for insurance, promising my loan amount plus a refund of that £340 would be sent into my account. Well, surprise surprise, I’ve seen nothing since then and now they’re completely ignoring my calls and messages. I called back and spoke to a bloke named Mark, who had an Asian accent and said he was from a firm called UK Loans Ltd. He assured me that the money could hit my bank in about 5 minutes and gave me the details: £2500 loan over 24 months with monthly repayments of £120. But then he said I had to pay an upfront fee of £120 before they could send the funds. I told him I didn’t have that sort of money to hand. He kept pressing, asking if I could scrape together at least some of it, offering to accept less. I refused flat out and he said he’d check with his manager and ring me back. Well, that was the last I heard from them. It’s clearly a con, so don’t give them a penny.
