Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from numbers that hang up right after the third ring and don't bother to leave a voicemail. I'm guessing these are just spam or scam callers putting me on some kind of list.

These scammers are really clever, they ring you up using your first name just to make sure they've got your full name right. It’s pretty scary how they get all that info from other sources, probably some third party. Feels quite unsafe if you ask me.

So, I got a call from this guy who had a thick Russian accent, claiming he worked for some marketing firm. The weird thing is, I've registered with the TPS, so im clueless how he managed to get hold of my landline.

I answered pretty fast but the call ended suddenly. Since a few others have already mentioned being suspicious of this number, I’m guessing it’s some kind of spam, so I’m just gonna block it.

I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, but I always let them ring out as I don’t recognise it and I'm well aware of the prevalence of scam calls these days. If it’s genuinely urgent, surely they’ll leave a message on my voicemail!

This number has called me loads and I never pick up since I’m quite hard of hearing and I’m an older woman. Honestly, I’m getting really tired of the constant bothering. Best just to avoid this one.

Some bloke with an African accent called, saying he could connect me to my energy provider. Seemed a bit dodgy to me - if I needed them, I'd just ring the company myself. Best not to give out any personal info when you're unsure on the phone.
