I told her chatting with me would be £70. She said, "It’s just a quick survey, only like 5 or 6 minutes." I replied, "That’s still part of the hour, so it’s £70 either way. I received a phone call from this number, and to my surprise, there was a real person on the line! They began to ramble on about being from some sort of global news organisation or other. Honestly, I was so utterly disinterested that I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up. Later on, they attempted to reach out again, but spotting the same number, I opted to steer clear and not pick up.

Really nice lady just doing her work, carrying out a survey about wellbeing which was quite interesting. Ive done something similar in the past and can promise you it’s nothing dodgy. The numbers get randomly picked and put into a list, so if you don’t pick up, they’ll ring you again. If you want to stop them calling again, just kindly ask to have your number taken off their list. The TPS and stuff like that are mainly for blocking sales calls, and this lady wasnt selling anything. I had a look at the GDCC site myself and it seems proper, they are regulated and all.

Got loads of calls from this number. Most of the time it just shows as a missed call since I’m often out. Never leaves a voicemail. A few times I answered and it was just dead silence. Really irritating and makes me a bit uneasy.

I got a call on my landline, which is pretty odd since no one here uses it or hands out that number. I answered with a 'hello' but there was silence, so I waited a bit and said it again just in case it was my grandma who’s hard of hearing. Then a woman with an accent came on, saying she was from some agency and asked if I could do a survey about foreign affairs if I had time. I just ended the call. If I was interested in surveys, I’d look for one myself. Don’t need dodgy companies ringing up my private number out of the blue.

This seems like an actual public opinion survey firm. I answered their call and the questions were about my views on America and NATO, using the typical rating scale. The only personal details they asked for at the end were my age, postcode, and how many people live in my home. They use a random dialler that links answered calls to whichever agent is free, which probably explains why folks get calls that seem to drop and why they might ring more than once. I’m going to save this number in my contacts.

Got at least a dozen calls over the past few days from this so-called 'company' claiming they're doing a survey about coffee drinking at work. A mate in my office has also had about the same on another number. Even though we've both been very clear that we're not interested and asked repeatedly to stop calling, they just keep ringing. It's getting really disruptive and irritating, and honestly, it's starting to feel a bit aggressive, so I’m definitely going to tell them off properly next time.

As soon as I answer, the call disconnects! It initially happened solely on the home line, but interestingly, it seems to have ramped up around family time, roughly between 5 and 6 in the evening. Now, however, it’s ringing during the day and also hitting the business line. Considering we only utilise a single line, we often find ourselves having to choose whom to converse with. It’s clear that there’s someone behind the curtain making those calls.

Got a call from gdcc claiming they were conductin a government survey about social attitudes. They tried to get me to give personal info but i didn’t give any. When they asked when they could call again, i just gave a simple excuse. They kept saying i was randomly chosen which might be legit since they didn’t know anything about me beforehand.

Checked the managing director’s email, simon.lanville@adccit... number’s 0203 808 9855 (just one digit off their outgoing number). They did admit it was them (9856). Honestly, they deserve to have a bit of their own tactics thrown back at them.

This number keeps ringing us again and again, and honestly, we're fed up with it. Luckily, we have caller ID and can spot who’s calling, so we just don’t pick up anymore.
