Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from HMRC, talking about some tax evasion nonsense. Sounds like a classic scam to me.

Dodgy insurance scam trying to rope in my 98 year old mum about her TV insurance needing an update. It's a pain, especially because she's registered blind. Luckily, she told the caller off quite firmly! Please, be careful and don't let these crooks get near your elderly family members. We use BT call protect (free with BT), plus a caller ID to keep these fraudsters away. These scammers are just evil.

Got a call from this number but there was no message left on my voicemail. Not sure if it’s a scam or just spam, but either way, watch out! If they ring back and start asking for your personal info, don’t share a thing. I’ve already blocked the number.

Got a call from 0203 807 7838 on my landline around 1.15pm on 09/06/2020. I answered but stayed silent, hoping the caller would talk first since I’m fed up with annoying calls. When nothing was said, they just ended the call. After looking up the number online, I found loads of posts backing me up - definitely a scammer trying their luck.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Sky. He said my insurance needed renewing and asked if there were any issues with the gear before they processed it. I told him I wasn’t sure why he was calling since it renews automatically. Then he just hung up on me. Total scam, I reckon.

Got a call from this number saying my TV’s warranty had run out. When I said I didn’t believe that, the guy called Eric just ended the call straight away. It sounded quite convincing at first because if you ring back, you get a proper sounding message where they even let you leave a voicemail for a tech to contact you. People who aren’t careful could easily fall for it.

02038077838 rang me saying they were from Sky, claimed they weren't selling anything but just wanted to tell me my Sky insurance was about to run out from when I first got the service. I asked for my policy info and they said they couldn’t give it because it was handled by another team. Honestly, you can imagine how I replied to that dodgy sod. If I’d been able to get my hands on my old railway whistle, I would’ve blasted his eardrums through the phone. Did something similar years ago with one number and never heard from them or that product again.

I've had 3 phone calls today while I was out for over an hour, probably even longer! The first call said hello and then went quiet, the other two just went completely dead after about half a minute. Fingers crossed I get through to them so I can tell them to call my mobile instead - not MY actual number but JOE LYCETT’S scammer number - 07956 432238. When they ring, there’s a message telling them they’re scammers and that it’s just wasting their time too! Works great for any dodgy callers!

I got a call about some Sky breakdown cover charging me £156, which I hadn’t agreed to. When I questioned them about it, they started swearing at me! Honestly, felt pretty unsafe dealing with those lot.

Got a call from some bloke saying my breakdown cover with Sky needed sorting out. I told him straight, "We don't have any cover with you, stop wasting my time, this is a scam," and before I could finish, he just dropped the call. What a tosser!

So, this bloke calling himself John, saying he’s from Sky, tells a 75-year-old that their Sky TV kit needs insuring. Ridiculous really, but he actually managed to make it sound proper. Now I’m stuck sorting things out with the bank. It’s just awful how some folks think it’s alright to take advantage of older people like this. They seriously should be checked out, proper nasty scammers!

I received calls from +21636563854 and +21636541042 at around 16:55 on June 7th. I picked up, but the line dropped straight away. After that, I decided to block it. Then, not long after, at 17:01, the first number rang again, but it also disconnected before I could say anything. So, they've both been added to my blocked list now. Honestly, you'd think they'd give it a rest! By the way, why did the numbers start with +216365?
