Got a spam call from some call centre. The person on the line knew where I lived and tried to chat about a repair warranty. I told her straight up it was a spam call and asked which company she represented. She said "County Repairs". Never heard of them and I definitely don’t have any repair warranties, so I just told her to stop wasting my time and put the phone down.

Totally a scam, they won’t say where they’re from. Real businesses usually show the local area code. Actual shops or manufacturers always provide some kinda guarantee or proper insurance for faults and stuff.

Got a call from this number today. A guy said he was from Home Services about my washing machine insurance, telling me a yearly payment of £199 was due this month. That’s when I got a bit wary. I told him I do have insurance but it’s paid monthly. He kept saying I’d had a policy with them for 2 years since 2023. I asked him for details about the machine, like the type and serial number, but he said he didn’t have that info. I told him I’d check with my bank and ended the call. Totally felt like a scam, nearly got me because I do have insurance, but with a different company.

Some bloke called himself Kenny and knew my name, claiming to be ringing from Domestic Appliances. He said since I hadn’t had any repairs done on my appliances, I qualified for a discount this year. I told him I recently got a new kitchen fitted with all fresh appliances. He then said I wouldn't need any insurance at all and just ended the call. Another dodgy call!
