The only way I found to stop the pop-up was to turn off my computer. I tried calling the number, but it just put me on hold, so I ended up hanging up because I worried it might be some dodgy premium line. This annoying pop-up has shown up on my PC more than once now.

I’m grateful to your platform for steering me clear of trouble. Those rogue operators are quite clever-I'd wager English is their primary language given the finesse of their wording.

My laptop suddenly popped up a scary virus message that looked just like it was from Microsoft. The screen locked up and this really pushy voice kept telling me to call 02038050585 over and over again. Do NOT ring that number, it’s a scam for sure!

I recently encountered a rather irritating pop-up. It insisted that I refrain from making any online purchases until I rang a particular number for assistance in removing adware malware. It was so persistent that I was ultimately forced to power down my laptop in frustration. After restarting, I did a quick search for the number, and surprise, surprise-it turned out to be a scam! Just thought I’d share this to alert you all. The number in question is 02038050585. Be cautious!

What a con! Just encountered a popup featuring an absolutely vexatious warning about “adware spyware virus.” Ha! They can’t even decide which nonsense it is, yet they’re handing out this number as a supposed solution. Granted, there’s a slim chance the number belongs to someone entirely unsuspecting; however, it’s worth noting it’s linked to a tech support crew-likely trying to peddle you some overpriced "assistance" if you linger on the line long enough, not to mention you’ll end up footing the bill for the call! If your browser’s being particularly bothersome, simply close it down instead of succumbing to the alarmist "You’ll be doomed if you don’t act now!" popups. Maybe send these jokers a bit of indignant energy and encourage them to consider a career that actually contributes to society.

Is there any way to silence that persistent voice incessantly prompting me to call this number? It’s quite bothersome, and I’d love to find a way to eradicate that annoying message once and for all.

It seems there are plenty out there who have far too much time on their hands and engage in activities like this!

This number appeared on my computer today, the 30th of August, 2015. I didn’t make any calls to it, though I did conduct a malware scan and managed to halt the activity. Fortunately, it’s just happened this one time so far.

I keep getting this incessant message urging me to call this number because "your computer is infected with a virus due to pop-up ads." So I decided to ring the number, only to be greeted by someone with a foreign accent (is it American?) and faced with a ridiculous menu:
'Hit 1' if you’re having a technical problem with your device
'Hit 2' if you need help fitting hardware to your PC or laptop...

Honestly, just power off your computer and restart it, or you'll be stuck in this endless loop. What an absolute pain in the neck…!

I received a rather alarming notification on my PC, suggesting that I had-or was on the verge of acquiring-a rather nasty virus. It prompted me to call them, which struck me as a bit dodgy, to say the least. Quite fishy, wouldn't you agree?

I keep getting a notification on my computer that claims I've contracted a virus. When I called the number shown, they identified themselves as Global Technical Support; however, they insisted that the number isn't theirs - it seems to be redirected from some unknown source. The chap I spoke with had a distinctive Indian accent.

Received a call from this number, and now our laptop is locked. Is there anyone who knows how to resolve this issue without having to ring them up, especially since it’s an American number? Any advice would be much appreciated!
