I got a call just now from 020 3790 3639. When I picked up, an automated voice started talking about me being taken to a magistrate’s court and possibly getting arrested. It then said to press 1 for more info to avoid this. I did, and it connected me to a man with an Indian accent. I asked what it was about and who he was representing. At first he refused to say, then claimed it was the government. When I asked which government dept, he said HMRC, but I knew straight away he was lying! So I just ended the call.

I got a ring from 020 3790 3639 earlier today. When I picked up, there was an automated voice warning me about some court stuff and being arrested. It told me to press 1 for more details to avoid trouble, so I did. An Indian guy then came on the line. I asked him what the call was about and which company he’s with, but he said there wasn’t any company name. Then I said I received the call from his company, but he just called me stupid, said again there’s no company, and hung up on me. Totally sketchy!
