Usually, I just hear a quick "hello" before they hang up straight away! If they’re not after me, you’d think they’d at least take my number off their list. Today I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with Millenium Soft, trying to sell me cheap line rental. I kept them chatting for a bit until they eventually asked for my bank sort code. I quickly told them there was no chance I'd share that kind of info and that it sounded like a scam to me.

This number rang me out of the blue, and the person on the line claimed they could lower my landline and broadband bill to £23.50 a month, saying I was currently paying about £34 or £35. I told them my supplier’s deal was actually cheaper than that, under £23.50, and then he suddenly fell silent and ended the call. I checked with my supplier afterwards, and they told me to search the number on Google to see what it’s about.
