Total spammer, kept ringing non stop.

Complete rubbish ad - some robot voice with background music and confusing marketing jargon - asked me to stay on the line for a person to pick up (they were the ones who rang me!!) Totally feels like a scam.

This is the second call I’ve gotten from them today! I didn’t pick up but saw what people said here. Another one I’ve put on block! So frustrating, but I always ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise!

8:45 in the mornin and luckily I wasn’t asleep yet, cos it turned out to be another dodgy scam call. I’ve blocked the number straight away. They should really go after those companies who sell or hand out these numbers to scammers, that’d help cut down on the rubbish calls. But for that to happen, you’d need some proper authority with real power to give out penalties.

Some bloke claimed to be from ‘Windows Support’ and tried to convince me to change some settings on my computer so they could get remote access. I got a bit nervous and ended the call as soon as I showed I knew a bit about computers. When I mentioned a genuine error I’m dealing with at work, they just hung up straight away.

I got called from this number twice, and the second time the bloke said his name was Robert, but he had an Indian accent. The number showed Egypt underneath it. He told me my computer was messing up, so I just said I don’t even own one.

No idea who that was but they called me on my mobile saying there was a problem with my computer. I wasn’t buying it coz that computer’s my lad’s. Why would they bother calling my phone? Looks like another total conman, so be careful out there.

They called me a bunch of times saying there’s a problem with my computer. I told them to "F%£" right off, there’s nothing wrong with it, you bunch of low-life scam artists. Not sure if they caught the whole message, probably just the first two words. Honestly, something needs to be done about these scammers, whether it’s the government or the cops.

What a load of rubbish from these scammers, honestly. Microsoft ought to track these idiots down and take legal action. I played along for nearly 10 minutes then told the bloke he was wasting his time since I’m in IT.

I had an unsettling experience today when I received a phone call from a gentleman of Asian descent who introduced himself as Harry Johnson. He claimed there was a virus infecting my computer and that he was calling from the Microsoft Windows reporting team. They didn't provide any specifics on their intentions and instead kept pressing, “Are you in front of your computer?” It reeked of a scam - a blatant one at that! I urge everyone to steer clear of these charlatans. It’s alarming what they could potentially do, including accessing your private data and even your banking information. Why isn't law enforcement taking action against these crooks? Please, for your own safety, avoid engaging with them at all costs!

An Asian woman attempted to persuade me into granting her access to my computer. Classic scam tactic, that. I decided to play along for a bit, pretending my computer was switched on and asking what steps I should take next. It was quite entertaining to keep her engaged, preventing her from targeting someone more naïve. It’s infuriating how brazen these individuals are. They really deserve nothing but contempt. Absolute chancers!

I received a call from someone claiming to be Harry Watson, who had a distinct Asian accent, and was supposedly calling from a technical support number, 727. He provided me with the ID of my computer and mentioned the presence of Trojans on my laptop. I asked him to call me back in an hour so I could check my machine while on the line. Just wanted to share my experience. The whole thing felt remarkably believable; she even managed to get me to provide my email address. I strongly recommend exercising caution if you decide to engage further. The email she provided was '[email protected]'. She was instructing me to press Control, the Windows key, along with another button on my computer. I mentioned I’d look into it and call her back. It's a landline number, but when I called, it was answered in a way that made me suspect it was nothing official. I’d definitely advise against pursuing this any further.

I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier, with a woman who had an unmistakable Asian accent claiming to represent the Windows technical support team. She informed me that they had been alerted to potential hacking incidents involving my laptop and insisted they could rectify the issue. Interestingly, a mate of mine had a very similar encounter; he unwittingly granted them remote access to his device and they zipped through various pages at an alarming rate. Eventually, he got spooked and switched off his laptop, at which point they were practically screaming at him to power it back up as they were almost done! Quite unnerving, really. He ended the call then and there, left wondering just what they might have achieved. If you receive a call like this, do yourself a favour and hang up without engaging. It’s simply not worth the risk.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from the Windows support team. She said they had detected my laptop had been hacked and offered to fix it. A mate of mine had almost the exact same call and ended up letting them control his laptop remotely. They were clicking through stuff really fast, so he just switched the laptop off. They actually shouted at him to switch it back on as they were "almost done". He hung up straight away and still wonders what they were actually up to. Honestly, just end the call and don’t deal with them at all.

Recently, I've been getting calls from individuals with thick Asian accents claiming to be from Microsoft Security, yet they boldly present themselves with distinctly English names like "David Smith" and "Jessica Williams." It’s patently clear that this is a dodgy scheme aimed at extracting sensitive personal information from unsuspecting individuals, likely to facilitate hacking or fraud. I recently received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. They accused me of having visited certain websites that, apparently, have granted unauthorised access to my computer, putting my personal information at risk. They went as far as mentioning my customer licence number and provided some sort of employee reference number. The chap's accent was quite hard to decipher-emphasising that he claimed to be calling from London, though it could have been from anywhere really. I had no intention of pursuing the conversation further, so I simply hung up! Best to be cautious with these sorts of calls.
