I got a call on my landline on 9.2.2024 from someone claiming to be with ECO4 checking if I could get a free boiler. I told them I’m fine with my current boiler. Then the caller asked how old it was, and when I said around seven years, she mentioned it had to be at least 15 years old to get a free one. She said it’s part of a Government energy saving initiative. I’ve blocked the number since.

Got a classic boiler scam call earlier, and I just told the person to go back to India, but spelled it with three F’s. Couldn’t be bothered dealing with it.

I got a call from some guy who had a really heavy Indian accent and said his name was Peter. He claimed he was ringing from some place called Eco 4 or something like that. I wasn’t having any of it, told him thanks but no thanks, and ended the call quick smart. Definitely smelled like a scam to me!

From what people are saying here, looks like a scam. I just ignored the call.

Got a missed call earlier, and after checking the comments, looks like it's the usual energy companies bugging people again like they have done for years. Some backed by the government seem to have proper sites like Eco4, but others seem dodgy, maybe just jumping on their name. FYI, there's this site almost identical to our trusted Who Called UK, called 'who call UK,' which says this number is legit. Makes me think scammers might've made a copycat site just to confuse people and maybe steal info from those of us who report these calls. Quite sneaky if true!
