An insolvency company, which claimed to be independent, suggested I get in touch with them about selling some shares I had bought ages ago. At first, they didn’t ask for any cash, but then, relying on info given by the insolvency people, I was told to send money to Hong Kong to finalise the deal overseas. After that, they wanted more money, this time for some sort of "insurance".

Got a call from some bloke who said he could get back money by offloading investments in a firm that went bust back in 2014. But of course, he wanted me to pay him first before he could start. Total nonsense if you ask me!
