Someone rang up saying they were from “my current phone provider” trying to push a contract on me. I told them my number’s on the TPS list and they suddenly acted like they couldn’t understand English and just ended the call. Proper dodgy.

today i got two calls from strange numbers, first one was 0213 923 8748 and later on 0203 769 0638. i left both ring out cos i didnt wanna talk, then i finally heard someone speaking, sounded like a chinese accent but couldnt really get what they were saying. they gave up and hung up after a bit. honestly just a bit annoying more than anything else.

this one’s a classic for sure. I usually say something like “thanks for ringing, can I call you back in a moment?” then I set the phone down for around 15 seconds. after that I pick it up and go “please hold on, your scam call matters to us and will be dealt with soon.” then I just leave it and walk off till they eventually hang up.
