Got a call from someone claiming to be SSC Electricity trying to trick me into changing my contract or I’d be stuck on some emergency rate. They were really pushy about it. Thing is, they didn’t realise I was calling back on a business phone for a market stall that doesn’t even have electricity. Managed to keep them chatting for about 20 minutes before they gave up. I ended up passing their details on to the council who manage the market. Serves them right!

Got a ring from this number saying they were from British Gas about our contract running out. I told them straight up that they weren't from British Gas and hung up. Then right after, a different person called again claiming the same thing. Funny thing is, we don’t even have a British Gas contract for our business.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from British Gas, asking for my account information. When I began to question them, they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I got a call at my job from this number, couldn't really catch their accent properly. The bloke claimed to be from my electric company but came across as really pushy and quite rude. Felt like he was trying to drag the call out for ages. After a bit, I just told him ‘No’ pretty firmly and hung up. Not long after, he rang straight back and started hassling me about why I ended the call and insisted I had to hear him out. I just hung up again. Definitely not a legit call.

02037690633 So, I had a bit of a browse about bitcoin ages ago, and now this bloke keeps ringing my landline pretending to be some kind of account manager. He’s been relentless, asking for £500 in advance to open an account - sounds dodgy to me. I’m chatting with my phone company to block his number as I’ve lost count of how many times he’s called - at least a dozen times since early morning like 8.15am! If you’re getting the same nonstop calls, best beware. There really ought to be stricter rules to tackle these scam callers.
